EXPORT OF ALUMINIUM BY NALCO
The National Aluninum
Company Limited (NALCO), a public sector undertaking of the Ministry
of Mines has exported 1.07 lakh tonnes of Alumina and Aluminium
to Baharain, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malayasia, Singapore, Taiwan,
Thailand, UAE and Vietnam during the year 2002-03 and earned $
148.8 million foreign exchange for the country.
During 2001-02
it exported 1.06 lakh tonnes and earned 148.6 million US dollars.
During the year, the importing countries were Indonesia, Japan,
Korea, Malayasia, Singapore, Taiwan, UAE and Vietnam.

was given by the Minister for Mines, Shri Ramesh Bais in a written
reply in the Lok Sabha today.
