EDUCATION TO DISABLED AND RESERVATION IN EDUCATION
Under the Centrally
Sponsored Scheme of Integrated Education for Disabled Children
(IEDC), 100% financial assistance is provided to the State Governments/UTs/NGOs
for providing necessary facilities to the children with mild to
moderate disability with the purpose of integrating them in the
general school system. Department of Secondary and Higher Education
has released an amount of Rs.3384.41 lakhs under this scheme to
various States/Uts/NGOs. The recurring grants are released to
various States/UTs/NGOs subject to availability of funds, receipt
of statement of expenditure, utilitisation certificates in respect
of earlier grants, full utilization of earlier grants, viability
of the proposals and proposals being in conformity with the guidelines
of the scheme.
