PRESIDENT, PM GREET NATION ON RAM NAVMI

The President of India, Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam and the Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee have greeted the people on the pious and auspicious occasion of Ram Navmi, here today.

In his message the President said, "On the auspicious occasion of Ramnavami, I extend my greetings and good wishes to all my fellow citizens. Let us all rededicate ourselves to follow the path of righteous conduct and selfless service to build a prosperous, happy and secure India of our dreams."

In a message, the Prime Minister said that Ram Navmi is an occasion to remember the ideals propagated by Maryada Purushottam Ram. Lord Ram’s life is a lesson in establishing relations within the family and outside it. May the festival bestow prosperity, peace and happiness on all and continue to inspire us to inscribe the ideals of compassion, justice and humanitarianism in our hearts, Shri Vajpayee added.
