NCC CONFERENCE INAUGURATED

The Minister of State for Defence Professor Chaman Lal Gupta has said that the final representation of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) certificate holders in our armed forces is not very encouraging. He said we therefore, need to nurture our youth and provide them with the right direction and opportunities to enable them make optimal contribution towards nation building. Professor Gupta said that it is also our duty to guard them, especially in the prevailing circumstances, against unscrupulous elements and channelise their enormous energy in the most constructive manner.

Commending the role and contribution of NCC, Professor Gupta said that be it earthquake, cyclone or drought, the organisation has remained in the forefront for relief and rehabilitation.
