KIOCL RECORDS HIGHEST ANNUAL TURNOVER
OF RS. 727 CRORE IN 2002-03

Ore Company Limited (KIOCL) recorded the highest annual turnover
of Rs. 727 crore during the year 2002-03 against the previous
best of Rs. 721.69 crore achieved last year. It has sold 5.8 million
tonnes concentrate and pellets during the year against the MOU
excellent target of 5.7 million tonnes. Shipment of pellets during
2002-03 was all time high of 3.47 million tonnes surpassing the
previous best record of 3.15 million tonnes shipped during 1999-2000.
KIOCL has achieved
Rs. 115 crore profit before tax (PBT) and Rs. 89 crore profit
after tax (PAT) during the year against Rs. 102.18 crore and Rs.
88.37 crore respectively during the previous year. It has crossed
the excellent MOU target of Rs. 84.78 crore PBT and Rs. 65.89
crore PAT for the year 2002-03.
The company has
produced 5.532 million tonnes of concentrate and 3.369 million
tonnes of pellets during the year. In case of concentrate it has
marginally surpassed very good rating MOU target and surpassed
the previous high of 3.2 million tonnes of pellets production
achieved during 1999-2000.
During March
2003, the company achieved a splendid performance creating new
records almost in every front in the last 26 years of its history.
It produced 7.12 lakh tonnes concentrate representing 125 per
cent of the target and 3.45 lakh tonnes of pellets, 103 per cent
of the target. It achieved the highest sales turnover of Rs. 103
crore during the month and sold 8.6 lakh tonnes of concentrate
and pellets against a target of 4.3 lakh tonnes.
