FIRST EVER NCC DELEGATION TO VISIT RUSSIA

The first ever National Cadet Corps (NCC) delegation will proceed to Moscow on Sep 23, 2002. The delegation will remain in Russia from Sep 23, 2002 to Oct 02, 2002. With this visit of NCC delegation Indo Russia Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) will formally commence. During their stay the Youth Affairs Department of Ministry of Education, Government of the Federation of Russia will be the official host. The delegation comprises of two officers and ten NCC cadets including six girl cadets.

During their stay in Russia the cadets will be visiting various parts of the country. The members of the delegation would be getting an opportunity to interact with the members of the First Cadets Corps of the Rescuers, Youth Organisations and selected dignitaries of the country. The Cadets will also visit places of topical and tourist interest and will witness renowned Russian ballet and circus performance during their visit.

The members of the delegation called on Lt. Gen BK Bopanna, Director General NCC here today. Gen Bopanna offered then his best wishes and exhorted them to bring glory to the country as young ambassadors of India.
