RS.13.13 CRORE RELEASED TO
ORISSA AND JHARKHAND UNDER INDIRA AWAS YOJANA
The Ministry of Rural Development has released
Rs.759.85 lakh to Orissa under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) as first
instalment for the year 2002-03. The fund is meant for four districts
of the state. They are Bhadrak - Rs.182.170 lakh, Koraput -Rs.221.550
lakh, Sundargarh - Rs.197.260 lakh and Khurda - Rs.158.870 lakh.
The grant is towards the plan expenditure and
will be utilized for construction of new houses and upgradation
of kutcha houses into pucca houses. The expenditure on the implementation
of the programme is to be shared on 75:25 basis between the Centre
and the state respectively.
The Ministry has also released Rs.553.53 lakh
to Jharkhand under IAY as first instalment for the current year
for W. Singhbhum district.
