Railways have commenced
observance of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ with the pledge taking
ceremony by officers and staff. A special function has been organized
here today in the Ministry of Railways where Chairman Railway
Board, Shri I.I.M.S. Rana administered the pledge to a large gathering
of Railway staff and officers. Messages from Central Vigilance
Commissioner and Vigilance Commissioner were also read out on
the occasion.
During the week-long
Vigilance Awareness campaign seminars, debate and essay competitions
will be organized in the Railway Board and across the Zonal Railways
to sensitise and educate the railway fraternity about the dangers
of corruption as corruption is anti-national, anti-poor and anti-economic
development. Railways have also brought out multi-coloured posters
to facilitate anti-corruption campaign.
