The Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the
last date for filing of return of income from October 31, 2002
to March 31, 2003 in the case of persons required to file return
of income for assessment year 2002-03 in terms of first proviso
to sub-section (1) of section 139 of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
