COMBINED MEDICAL SERVICES EXAMINATION, 2003 ON 23 FEBRUARY


The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Combined Medical Services Examination on 23rd February, 2003. Approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 381.

The last date for receipt of applications 11th November, 2002. In the case of applications received by post/speed post from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep and for candidates residing abroad, the last date for receipt of applications is 18th November, 2002.

The application form, alongwith an information brochure containing general instructions for filling up the form, an acknowledgement card and an envelope for sending application can be purchased from any one of the designated head post offices/post offices throughout the country on cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees Twenty only).

Candidates interested in applying for this examination must use only the form supplied with information brochure. The Form should be purchased from Post Office only and not from any other agency. Do not use photocopy/ reproduction/ unauthorisedly printed copy of the form. This will entail rejection. Each form can be used only once and for only one examination.

For details regarding conditions of eligibility, scheme & syllabi, centres of examination, instructions for filling up the application form, the candidates should refer to the detailed instructions given in the Commission’s advertisement published in Newspapers and employment news dated 12th October, 2002. Complete details about the examination will also be available on Internet on the Commission’s website at address: http://www.upsc.gov.in. Candidates can obtain information about Receipt and Registration of their application, venue of examination’s results, interview programme etc. on the same website.

UPSC has a Facilitation Counter near ‘C’ gate of its campus. Candidates may obtain any information/clarification regarding their application/candidature on working days between 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. in person or over telephone No.011-3385271/3381125 from this counter.

In case candidates have any difficulty in obtaining Application Form/Central recruitment Fee Stamp from any of the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices, they should immediately contact concerned Postmaster or UPSC’s "FORMS SUPPLY MONITORING CELL’ over Telephone No.011-3389366/FAX No.011-3387310.
