LAW MINISTER RELEASES CD ROMs OF LAW COMMISSION’S REPORT


The Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri J. Krishnamurthi released a bunch of three CD ROMs containing all the 176 reports of the Law Commission since 1955 that have been laid in the Parliament at a Press Conference here today. The first bunch of three CD ROMs was given to Shri Justice V.N. Khare of the Supreme Court of India. Speaking on the occasion, the Law Minister said that the CD ROMs would be quite useful to the legal professionals including judges, law students and corporate sector. Justice V. N. Khare, who also spoke on the occasion, said that at a time when the entire nation was evolving towards transparency and openness the availability of Law Commission’s report in CD ROMs would serve greatly the desired requirements of the legal professionals.

The Law Commission has, so far, forwarded 182 reports to the Government, of which upto 176 reports have been laid in the Parliament. These reports are now available in the CDs.

The reports of the Law Commission are well researched and well informed in the direction of legal reforms and modernization of our laws in tune with the dynamics of ever changing time. These are also of great usefulness to legal professionals, such as, lawyers and judges, academics and researchers in the field of law and justice.
