NEW APPOINTMENTS

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments: -

1. Shri N.S. Sisodia, IAS(RJ:68), presently Special Secretary, Ministry of Power, as Secretary, Department of Defence Production and Supplies, vice Shri A.M Nimbalkar, IAS(MH:67);

2. Shri M.M.K Sardana, IAS(WB:68), presently Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Ministry of External Affairs, as Special Secretary, Ministry of Power, vice Shri N.S. Sisodia(RJ:68);

3. Shri S. Nautiyal, IAS(OR:68), presently Additional Secretary, Department of Consumer Affairs, as Chairman, Food Corporation of India, in the rank and pay of Secretay, vice Shri Bhure Lal, IAS(UP:66);

4. Smt. Uma Pillai, IAS(UP:68), presently Additional Secretary, Ministry of Labour, as Chairman and Managing Director, Rural Electrification Corporation in the rank and pay of Secretary, from 16.10.2002 vice Shri Dhanendra Kumar, IAS(HY:68);

5. Shri S.K. Pachauri, IAS(AP:68), Secretary, Ayodhya Commission, is re-notified in his present post in the pay of Secretary from 16.10.2002;

6. Shri C.D Arha, IAS(AP:68), presently Additional Secretary, Department of Coal, as Special Secretary, Department of Coal, by temporarily upgrading his post for three months from 16.10.2002 on a personal basis;

7. Shri A.K Rastogi, IAS(TN:68), presently Vice Chairman, Inland Waterways Authority of India, as Special Secretary and Mission Director, Technology Mission on Oilseeds and Pulses, Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, from 16.10.2002 while canceling the earlier order notifying Shri S.K. Mishra, IAS(CG:68) to the post of Special Secretary.
