TO LAUNCH MOST MODERN FOOD PLAZAS AT STATIONS
Indian Railway Catering
and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will be setting up over 50 multi-cuisine
food plazas at major Railway Stations through out the country
during the current financial year. Two such food plazas have already
come into operation in Pune and Chennai. Before December this
year, such food plazas will be operational in Mumbai Central,
Jaipur, Calcutta, Bangalore, Patna, Delhi, Darjeeling Himalayan
Railway, Madurai and Nizamuddin. Plans to set up other food plazas
are in advance stage of progress.
The new food
plazas aimed at stepping up passenger amenities during 150th
year of Indian Railway will have contemporary décor, air-conditioned
ambience and will be working round-the-clock to suit passenger
convenience. Competitive pricing for quality and hygienic food
will be the unique nature of these food plazas.
In another innovative
move by IRCTC, through public and private partnership budget hotels
will be established adjacent to Railway Stations and sites at
Bhopal, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Mumbai have been
short listed.
