INAUGURATED
The Minister of State
for Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ramesh Bais said that films
which are shown in the Indian Panorama Sector of the 33rd Indian
International Film Festival of India-2002, reflect oneness of
the country. Inaugurating the Indian Panorama-2002, Shri Bais
said that films in this section which includes 20 feature films
and 11 non-feature films are made by eminent directors, actors
and producers hailing from different region and language. There
films may be based on any particular region or language but they
are common in representing human values and oneness of our country,
he said. People will have the opprotunity to enjoy popular and
best films made during the last one year. Films highlight the
fundamental needs of human life as well as human relations besides
important issues, the Minister said.
The package of eleven
non-feature films are based on particular storylines and documentary
data alongwith analysis. This package is a showcase of human thinking,
lifestyle of common people living in far flung areas, environment,
food and hunger, artists' life besides human inclination towards
education and knowledge.
