UNRESERVED TICKETING SYSTEM

On an average 80,000
tickets are issued every day through the recently introduced Unreserved
Ticketing System(UTS) and approximately two lakh passengers are
booked . However, with the facilities of advance booking upto
30 days and tickets being available from any station having UTS
cluster, more and more people are expected to be benefited from
this facility.
Under the pilot project
23 stations in Delhi area has UTS facility. Based on the evaluation
of this project, demand pattern and availability of resources,
it will be extended to other zonal railways in a phased manner.
This system has the capability to issue monthly/quarterly season
tickets and platform tickets.
