FOURTEEN JAN SHATABDI TRAINS INTRODUCED
LOK SABHA
Of the 16 pairs of
the Jan Shatabdi Expresses announced in Railway Budget 2002-03,
the following 14 pairs of Jan Shatabdi Expresses have been introduced
till date.
1)Howrah-Malda
Town; 2) Chennai Central Gundur-Vijayawada; 3)Varanasi-Lucknow;
4) Katihar-Patna; 5)Dehradun-New Delhi; 6) Madgaon-Lokmanya tilak(T);
7)Chandigarh-New Delhi; 8) Ahmedabad-Bhuj; 9)Guwahati-Dimapur;
10) Tata-Ranchi; 11)Bhubaneshwar-Howrah; 12)Ernakulam-Trivandrum;
13)Kota-Nizamuddin; and 14)Bangalore-Hubli.
The remaining
two Jan Shatabdi Expresses : Rajgarh-Raipur-Durg and Habibganj-Jabalpur
will be introduced during 2002-03 on the availability of Jan Shatabdi
coaches.
This information
was given by Shri Bandaru Dattattraya, Minister of State for Railways
in a written reply to a question by Shri Manikrao Hodlya Gavit
in the Lok Sabha today.
