for Shipping, Shri Su. Thirunavukkarasar in written reply to Mr.
Ananta Nayak in Lok Sabha today stated that Gopalpur is a minor
port in Orissa and as per the provisions of Indian Ports Act,
1908, the responsibility for upgradation/development of minor
ports lies with the State Government concerned, which also have
administrative control on such ports.
