PUBLISHERS FROM SRI LANKA AND PAKISTAN VISIT PUBLICATIONS DIVISION OF I&B


Publishers and Education Ministry officials from neighboring SAARC countries of Sri Lanka and Pakistan exchanged views on mutual cooperation during their visit to the Publications Division of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting here today. Consisting of a dozen officials, this delegation, which has been participating in Book Publishing Programme organised by the Institute of Book Publishing in New Delhi, had interaction with Shri P. S. Bhatnagar, Director Publication Division. The officials visited the Book Gallery of the Division housed at Patiala House and evinced keen interest in the books and journals displayed there. During his address, Shri Bhatnagar observed that the books of Publications Division share a common heritage between the neighbouring countries on areas of mutual interests including art, architecture, literature, music and the cultural canvas. He emphasised the need to have frequent interaction between the intellectuals. Scholars and publishers among these countries in order to build bridges of mutual goodwill and cooperation.
