NEW ADDITIONAL SOLICITOR
GENERAL OF INDIA
The
Government has issued a notification appointing Shri Raju Ramachandran,
Senior Advocate, as Additional Solicitor General of India in the
Supreme Court of India with effect from November 25, 2002.
Born
on May 14, 1954 Shri Ramachandran did B.A. (Honours) in economics
from St. Stephans College and LL.B. from University of Delhi.
Joined the Bar in 1976 in the Supreme Court. He became a Senior
Advocate in the Supreme Court in September 1996. His experience
spans constitutional, administrative, public service law and commercial
matters. Besides, he represented several State Governments in
the Supreme Court in various cases.
