The Law Commission has informed that the present Law Commission has not taken up any study on judicial arrears to suggest measures for speedy disposal of cases.

The Law Commission has so far submitted 183 reports to the Government.

The number of reports tabled in the Parliament is 182.

As and when a report is received from the Law Commission, the same is forwarded to the concerned Department(s) for examination/implementation. Periodical meetings with them are also held with a view to pursuing the matter.

The number of reports which has not been accepted or requires no action is 40.

This information was given by the Union Minister of Law and Justice, Shri K. Jana Krishnamurthi in a written reply to a question from Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy and two other Members in the Rajya Sabha today.
