SIRI FORT III TO SHOW CHILDREN FILMS

The Siri Fort Auditorium III, has been renamed "Bal Chitra Manch" and would be screening only children films round the year. Dedicating the Bal Chitra Manch to the children of Delhi on the occasion of the National Children’s Day, here today, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Smt. Sushma Swaraj regretted that not many children films are being made in the country and even cartoon films are imported and translated for screening. She said, DD Bharati has made a beginning by showing children programmes for four hours daily. The time is likely to be increased further, she said.

The Chairperson of the Children Films Society of India (CFSI), Smt. Sai Pranjpai said that the CFSI is showing children films at 193 places all over the country today, to mark the Children’s Day. CFSI’s latest film, "Haathi Ka Andaa" was screened on the occasion. Children from various schools were invited to view the film.
