DD BANGALORE’S HINDI MAGAZINE ADJUDGED BEST


The Bangalore Station of Doordarshan was awarded the First Prize for its Hindi magazine ‘Aditya’. All India Radio, Itanagar’s ‘Arunvani’ was awarded Second Prize, while Doordarshan Bhopal’s ‘Drishti’ got the Third Prize.

The Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Shri Ramesh Bais gave away the prizes to the winners of various competitions organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to promote the use of Hindi in official work during the ‘Hindi Fortnight’. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Bais said that the Government employees must change their mindset and should not have any inferiority complex in using Hindi.

Shri Bais also stressed the need for creating Hindi software for computers on a large scale in order to give a boost to the use of Hindi in official work. More than 50 staff members received prizes for competitions in essay writing, poetry recitation, public speaking, writing of office notes, translation, Hindi stenography, typewriting and discussions etc.
