VIKRAM VERMA CONDOLES THE DEATH OF OLYMPIAN JOGINDER SINGH

Shri Vikram Verma, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports has condoled the demise of former Olympian Joginder Singh. A member of the gold medal winning Indian Hockey Squad at the 1964 Tokyo Olympics, Joginder Singh died at Kolkata this morning after protracted illness.

Shri Verma said that he was a veteran hockey player and a representative of the golden era of Indian Hockey. He prayed to God for giving strength to his family to bear this loss
