RS.85.13 LAKH RELEASED TO DELHI FOR LAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS

    The Ministry of Rural Development has released a total of Rs 85.13 lakh to Delhi for three projects under the Technology Development, Extension & Training Scheme of Department of Land Resources during the current financial year.

    National Informatics Center, Delhi gets Rs. 35.51 lakh as first instalment for implementation of the project on ‘GIS Based Sustainable Development Information System for District Planning’. This is out of a total outlay of Rs. 59.18 lakh spread over a period of 15 months (2001-02 to 2002-03). State Farms Corporation of India (SFCI) gets Rs. 27.62 lakh as first instalment for implementation of the project "Development of Wastelands through Soil and Moisture Conservation measures with Watershed approach at Raichur Farm". It gets another grant of Rs 22.00 lakh as first instalment for the project ‘Development of Wastelands at Sardargarh Farm through Soil and water Conservation Measures’.

    The Ministry has also released the total grant of Rs 25.00 lakh to Daman and Diu for the start of the project under the centrally sponsored scheme of Computerisation of Land Records, during the current financial year.
