TWO LAKH METRIC TONNES OF ONION RELEASED FOR EXPORT UPTO JUNE 2002

    On the recommendations of the Inter-Ministerial Review Committee, the Government today approved the release of 2 lakh metric tonnes of onion for export upto June 2002. With this release, the ceiling approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs for export of 7 lakh metric tonnes of onion during the current year has been fully utilised.
