    The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has fixed the cut off date for admission to Company Secretaryship Foundation Course (CS) as March 31, 2002. Students with ten 10+2 pass or equivalent examination in arts, commerce, science and any other discipline excluding fine arts can pursue the course. Those seeking registration for the Company Secretaryship Foundation Course will be eligible for examination in December, 2002.

    Students appearing/appeared in 10+2 examination or awaiting results can also seek Provisional Admission to the CS Foundation Course. The fee for postal coaching (by correspondence) is Rs. 1800/-. SC/ST candidates are given 50 per cent concession. There is also provision for optional oral coaching classes. Registration is open throughout the year and exams are held twice a year.

    Prospectus and application form is available on cash payment of Rs. 70/- at ICSI Headquarters, 22 Institutional Area, Lodhi Road or from the ICSI-NIRC Building, Plot No. 4, Prasad Nagar Institutional Area, Rajendra Place, New Delhi.
