    The Governing Body of Sports Authority of India (SAI) has decided to rename the Regional Centre, Central Zone SAI, Bhopal as Uddhavdas Mehta (Bhaiji) Central Centre to perpetuate the memory of freedom fighter and social worker, Shri Mehta. The central centre of SAI was initially functioning from New Delhi and were shifted to Bhopal in 2001. The regional centres of SAI were set up in 1987 with the approval of the governing body/general body.
