COLLECTION OF FEES BY DCA

   The Department of Company Affairs (DCA), collected fees of Rs. 189.62 crores during 1999-2000 and Rs. 503.18 crores in 2000-2001 from registration of new companies and filing of various statutory papers under the Companies Act, 1956, in the offices of Registrars of Companies (ROCs).

    The DCA incurred an expenditure of Rs. 30.71 crores during 1999-2000 and Rs. 36.81 crores in 2000-2001 over the administration of the Companies Act.

    The fees to be paid to the ROCs have been prescribed by the Government under Section 611 of the Companies Act 1956. The rates of fees payable by various kinds of companies are stated in Schedule X of the Companies Act, 1956. The rates of fees are reviewed from time to time.
