NCC CADETS DELEGATION TO VISIT NEPAL

   An eleven-member delegation of National Cadet Corps (NCC) comprising one officer and ten cadets is visiting Nepal from March 09, 2002 to March 19, 2002. The members of the delegation called on Lt Gen B.K. Bopanna, Director General NCC here today. Lt Gen Bopanna offered his best wishes and exhorted them to bring glory to the country as the young ambassadors of India.

    The members of the delegation, which includes six boy and four girl cadets, will participate in the Nepalese NCC camp. NCC has an ongoing Youth Exchange Programme. During their stay in Nepal besides visiting the places of tropical and tourists interest, the delegation will call on a number of dignitaries such as Chief Adviser of NCC Nepal and the Chief of Staff etc. They will also witness the NCC parade (Dikshanta Kawaj) and Army Day ceremony. The cadets will interact with the cross section of the local populace and thus experience the socio - economic and cultural realities and various developmental activities.

    The leader of the delegation is Wg Cdr S. Bagga and the other members are SUO Saghmita Sadangi, Sgt Deepak Kumar Raut of NCC Dte Orissa, Sgt Sarvesh Yadav, SUO Alok Babu of NCC Dte Uttar Pradesh, Cdt Deepak Kumar, Cdt Ankush Pratap of NCC Dte J&K, Cpl Ridima Singh of NCC Dte Rajasthan, UO Mamta Kumari of NCCDte Bihar, UO Suproya Ashokan Nair of NCC Dte Kerala, Cdt Hemal Yogesh Kumar Bhatt of NCC Dte Gujarat.
