Rs 374.33 LAKH TO GUJARAT FOR WASTELANDS DEVELOPMENT

Rs 209.68 LAKH DEVELOPMENT FUNDS TO MAHARASHTRA

    The Ministry of Rural Development has released a total amount of Rs 374.33 lakh to four districts of Gujarat under the Integrated Wastelands Development Programme (IWDP) a centrally sponsored scheme, during the current financial year.

    Projects II and III in Kheda district get Rs. 66.00 lakh each as first instalment under the Programme. While Junagadh gets Rs.96.00 lakh for Project I and Rs. 34.70 lakh as first instalment for Project IV. Bhavnagar gets Rs. 53.63 lakh as first instalment for Project II and Kutch Rs. 38.00 lakh for Project III.

    The Ministry has also released a total of Rs. 209.68 lakh as development funds to Maharashtra. Nanded district gets Rs. 117.01 lakh under the Employment Assuarance Scheme – Watershed Component of IWDP. While DRDA Amravati gets Rs. 88.55 lakh under IWDP. Marathwada Agricultural University gets Rs 4.12 lakh for implementation of the Project "Transfer of Agro-forestry technology in Marathwada Region – under the Technology Development, Extension & Training Scheme of Department of Land Resources.
