STATE MOURNING FOR BALAYOGI EXTENDED TO MARCH 5TH AND 6TH ALSO

    As a mark of respect to late Lok Sabha Speaker, Shri G.M.C. Balayogi, who died in a helicopter crash on 3rd March, 2002 in Andhra Pradesh, the Government has extended the State mourning for two more days i.e. on March 5th and 6th, 2002. Earlier, the Government had announced State mourning on 3rd and 4th March, 2002. Accordingly, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast throughout India on all buildings where it is flown regularly on March 5th and 6th also. There will be no official entertainment during the period of State mourning.

    The Government has also decided that the State Funeral of late Shri Balayogi will take place on the forenoon of 6th March, 2002 at Amalapuram, District Krishna in Andhra Pradesh.
