GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES STATE MOURNING FOR BALAYOGI
The Government, as a mark of respect towards Shri G.M.C. Balayogi, who died this morning, will observe State mourning throughout India for two days on 3rd and 4th of March, 2002. During this period, the National Flag will be flown at half-mast throughout India on all buildings where it is flown regularly. There will be no official entertainment during the period of State mourning.
It has also been decided by the Government that a State Funeral will be accorded to the late Shri Balayogi which will take place on 4th March, 2002 at Amalapuram, District Krishna in Andhra Pradesh.
Shri Balayogi, Speaker Lok Sabha died this morning at Kaikaluru in Andhra Pradesh.
