SHRI SHANTA KUMAR URGED FOR PROGRESSIVE USE OF HINDI


Shri Shanta Kumar, Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, said that dedicated efforts are needed at the administrative level for spreading the usage of Hindi. He was speaking at a meeting of the Hindi Salahkar Samiti attached to his Ministry at Palampur in Himachal Pradesh today.

The Minister expressed satisfaction over government’s efforts for popularising Hindi during the past 50 years. However, lots more need to be done, he added. Shri Shanta Kumar reviewed the use of official language in his Ministry and assured the Members of the Salahkar Samiti that no efforts would be spared to increase the usage of Hindi.
