SENIOR LEVEL APPOINTMENTS
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has
approved the following appointments: -
- Smt. Sarita Prasad, IAS (HP: 69), Chairperson, National Authority
for Chemical Weapons Convention, as Additional Secretary, Ministry
of Social Justice and empowerment, vice Shri P.C. Rawal, IAS
(UP: 69).
- Shri P.C. Rawal, IAS (UP: 69), Additional Secretary, Ministry
of Social Justice and Empowerment, as Additional Secretary,
Department of Telecommunications.
- Shri R. Poornalingam, IAS (TN: 70), Additional Secretary,
Department of Power, as Additional Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat.
- Shri Priyadarshi Thakur, IAS (RJ: 70), Managing Director,
NAFED, to be upgraded in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.
- Shri Prem Singh Rana, IAS (HP: 70), Joint Secretary, Department
of Land Resources, as Additional Secretary, Department of Land
Resources vice Shri Mohan Kanda, IAS (AP: 68), completing his
tenure on 30.6.2002.
- Shri Binod Kumar, IAS (NL: 70), Joint Director, LBSNAA to
be upgraded as Special Director, LDSNAA in the rank and pay
of Additional Secretary, for a period of six months.
- Shri D. K. Sankaran, IAS (MH: 70), presently in the cadre,
as Additional Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy, vice Shri
R. M. Prem Kumar, IAS (MH:68).
- Smt. Meenakshi Datta Ghosh, IAS (AGMU: 70), Joint Secretary,
Department of Health as Project Director, NACO and Additional
Secretary, Department of Health.
- Shri Ajit Kumar Jain, IAS (UP: 70), presently in the cadre,
as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, vice Shri R. Poornalingam,
IAS (TN: 70).
- Shri S. Lakshminarayanan, IAS (MP: 70), Joint Secretary, Department
of Information Technology to be upgraded as Additional Secretary,
Department of Information Technology.
- Shri Vinod Kumar Malhotra, IAS (UP: 70), presently in the
cadre, as Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Department
of Industrial Policy and Promotion vice Shri K. K. Jaswal, IAS
(UP: 68).
- Shri Suresh Chandra, IAS (MH: 70), Joint Secretary and Financial
Adviser, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, as Development
Commissioner for Small Scale Industries in the rank and pay
of Additional Secretary vice Shri S. K. Tuteja, IAS (PB: 68)
- Smt. Sunila Basant, IAS (JH: 70), presently in the cadre,
as Additional Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms
and Public Grievances.
- Smt. P. Jyoti Rao, IAS (UL: 70), presently in the cadre, as
Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Department of Agriculture
and Cooperation, by upgrading the post of JS and FA.
- Shri Somnath Pal, IC&CES (68), Joint Secretary, Department
of Revenue, as Managing Director, TRIFED in the rank and pay
of Additional Secretary vice Smt. Pratibha Karan, IAS (AGMU:
67).
16. Shri Anand Bordia, IC&CES (68), presently
in the cadre, as Additional Secretary, Department of Pension
