INDIGENOUS PRODUCTION OF MINES

The Government has sanctioned four indigenous projects of sea mines for the Indian Navy. After successful development, three of these projects led to production. The fourth project was partially successful. The total cost of these projects was Rs. 2.145 crore.

This information was given by Defence Minister Shri George Fernandes in a written reply to Shri K Rahman Khan in Rajya Sabha today.
