ELECTION COMMISSION TEAM TO GUJARAT
The Election Commission
of India has decided to depute a nine member team consisting of
two Deputy Election Commissioners and other senior officers of
the Commission to Gujarat to review the existing situation and
preparedness of the State machinery for conduct of fee and fair
elections in the State. The team will be commencing its work from
Wednesday, July 31, 2002 from Ahmedabad. They will also be visiting
other districts in the State.
