SHRI P.M. NAIR APPOINTED
AS SECRETARY TO THE PRESIDENT
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has
approved the appointment of Shri P.M. Nair, IAS (AGMU: 67), Secretary,
Department of Defence Production and Supplies, as Secretary to
the President of India, with effect from 25th July,
2002 or the date on which he takes over charge of the post, whichever
is later.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has
also approved that Shri Subir Dutta, IAS (WB: 67), Defence Secretary,
would hold additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department
of Defence Production and Supplies on the appointment of Shir
P.M. Nair, IAS (AGMU: 67) as Secretary to the President of India.
