PM CONGRATULATES INDIAN TEAM
The Prime Minister
Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has congratulated the Indian Cricket
Team on its splendid victory in the final of the Natwest Trophy
Tournament at Lords in the United Kingdom.
In a message,
the Prime Minister said that the game last night epitomized the
grit, determination and team-work particularly of the younger
players of our national team. The resilient spirit of India was
evident in the way Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh and Mohd. Kaif essayed
a spectacular comeback. They literally snatched the game from
the jaws of defeat and won us the Trophy. These youngsters have
proved that persistence coupled with a firm belief in themselves
can bring the country laurels and no target is difficult to achieve.
