JAPANESE AMBASSADOR CALLS ON UNION LAW MINISTER
The Ambassador of Japan in India HE Hiroshi Hirabayashi
called on the Union Minister of Law and Justice Shri K. Jana Krishnamurthi
here today and discussed with him measures for legal reforms to
protect foreign investors. They also discussed legal reforms,
judicial reforms relating to steps for addressing backlog of cases
and labour law reforms.
The Indian Law Minister gave an overview of various
initiatives taken so far and steps that were on the anvil to make
Indian justice delivery system quick, time bound and efficient.
They identified common areas of co-operation in judicial and legal
reforms. Both of them affirmed their common interest and agreed
to strengthen further traditional Indo-Japan ties.
