RUDY RELEASES FOREIGN
TRADE PROMOTERS AND FACILITATORS DIRECTORY
Shri
Rajiv Pratap Rudy, Minister of State for Commerce & Industry,
has released "Target Foreign Trade – Promoters & Facilitators
Directory 2002-03" here recently. The Minister said, on this occasion,
that the export forms an important component of trade promotion
and expressed hope that this Directory would prove indispensable
for all export promotion organisations, development authorities,
institutions, foreign trade community and exporters in India and
abroad. Shri Rudy said that this publication will give useful
information at a single place regarding export-import sector and
the modalities involved in the export-import procedures in India.
He informed that Government of India is making all efforts to
increase India’s share in world trade to 1% by 2007 and there
is need for the government and the industries to work together
to achieve this target.
The Directory
has been published by the Target Media Network, New Delhi. This
is the first time in India that this type of publication has come
to provide the information about Export Promotion Councils, Commodity
Board, Export Processing Zones (EPZs) Financial Institutions,
Apex trade & industry organisations, International Service
Providers etc.
