NMDC CROSSES TARGET IN DECEMBER
The National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd. (NMDC), a public sector undertaking of the Steel Ministry, during the month of December, 2001 has produced 15.70 lakh tonnes of iron ore and 6675 carats of diamonds. It represents 109 per cent and 101 per cent of its target for the month respectively.
During the period April-December, 2001 production of iron ore and diamonds by the Company was 106.73 lakh tonnes and 58857 carats against the targets of 107.91 lakh tonnes and 52053 carats, representing 99 per cent and 113 per cent of the targets respectively.
