INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION ON ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT IN CEMENT PRODUCTION GETS UNDERWAY

    A four day International Technical Exhibition on Energy & Environment in Cement Production was inaugurated here today by Shri S.Jagadeesan, Joint Secretary, Department of IPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Shri S.J.Raina, Director General, NCB was also present in the function. The exhibition, to be held between 28th to 31st January, is being organised by National Council for Cement and Building Materials (NCB), an autonomous body under Ministry of Commerce & industry.

    The main objective of the exhibition is to focus on advancement and modernisation in equipment and machinery for cement and construction industries and to showcase the products of different suppliers of cement manufacturing machinery, process control equipment, instrumentation etc. More than 350 delegates including 40 delegates from 14 countries viz., Australia, Austria, Denmark, France, USA, UK, Germany are participating in the exhibition and Seminar. Equipment, models, components, instruments, samples, charts, photographs, publications and video displays are being used in the exhibition. The major thrust of the exhibition and seminar is on energy efficient and environment-friendly technologies for sustainable development.
