The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments:

1. Shri S.N. Menon, IAS(WB:69), presently Additional Secretary and Financial Adviser, Department of Commerce as Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce against the down graded post of Special Secretary presently held by Shri Nripendra Misra.
2. Shri Vinay Bansal, IAS(MH:69), presently in the Cadre, as Additional Secretary & Financial Adviser, Department of Commerce vice Shri S.N. Menon.
3. Smt. Kumud Bansal, IAS(MH:69), presently in the Cadre as Additional Secretary, Department of Secondary & Higher Education, vice Shri K.S. Sarma, completing his extended tenure on 16.2.2002.
4. Shri A. Dasgupta, IAS(MH:70), presently in the Cadre as Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue, vice Shri G.C. Srivastava.
5. Shri R. Poornalingam, IAS(TN:70) as Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power.
