NO PROPOSAL TO REVISE THE PRICES OF KEROSENE AND LPG : SHRI RAM NAIK
Shri Ram Naik, Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas has clarified that there is no proposal under consideration to revise prices, either upward or downward of Kerosene and LPG. Reacting to the reports in a section of the press averring that there are indications that the Government is contemplating increase in the prices of these products, Shri Ram Naik, in a Press Statement here today, said that such reports are speculative and there is no truth, whatsoever in such reports.
Shri Ram Naik said that Government is conscious of avoiding any burden on the common man and would do its utmost to ensure that the people are not unnecessarily burdened. In fact, the prices of petrol and diesel were reduced only in the last week on 11th January all over the country inspite of increase in the excise duty rates on these products, added Shri Naik.
