SHRI B.S. SUDHIR CHANDRA TAKES OVER AS MEMBER (STAFF) RAILWAY BOARD

SHRI M.C. SRIVASTAVA NEW MEMBER (TRAFFIC)

    Shri B.S. Sudhir Chandra, General Manager, Central Railway has taken over as the Member (Staff) in place of Shri M.C. Srivastava who has assumed the charge of Member, Traffic of the Railway Board here yesterday.

    Shri Sudhir Chandra, an officer of Indian Railway Service of Engineers(IRSE) of 1965 batch , has served the Indian Railways in many a prestigious posts in different Zonal Railways and at the Railway Board. He has held several important assignments in Construction, Open Line and General Management Departments. Shri Sudhir Chandra has also worked with the Zambian Railways for five years and has been trained in Japan, Germany and USA.

    Shri M.C.Srivastava, who has taken over from Shri R.K.Thoopal as the new Member(Traffic) , joined the Indian Railway Traffic Service(IRTS) in 1965 and has served as General Manager, South Eastern Railways along with additional charge of General Manager, Eastern Railway as well as of the Metro Railway, Calcutta.

    Shri R.K.Thoopal , the outgoing Member(Traffic), will be taking over as Chief Executive Officer of Central East African Railways(CEAR) soon. Shri Thoopal will manage, restructure and guide the CEAR for the next two years under a contract awarded to RITES.
