NCC HORSE SHOW

    The prestigious NCC Horse Show concluded here today. Senior Under Officer Bhom Singh Rathore of Rajasthan NCC Directorate and Under Officer Saraswat Kumar Rout of Orissa NCC Directorate declared joint winner of the Best Rider Trophy, Under Officer Parag Bansod of Madhya Pradesh NCC Directorate and Under Officer Debashish Tripathy of Orissa NCC Directorate jointly got the runners-up Trophy. In the girls section Sergeant Ruby Kawatra of the Rajasthan NCC Directorate declared winner and Sergeant Seema Madan of Punjab, Himachal, Harayana and Chandigarh NCC Directorate got the second place. The first and second position of the Best Show Jumper (Open) Trophy was won by Under Officer Dipender Beniwal and Senior Under Officer Bhom Singh Rathore of the Rajasthan NCC Directorate respectively. In the Best Tent Pegger (Open) category Dr. Sharma Trophy went to Senior Under Officer Saraswat Kumar Rout of Orissa Directorate.

    The NCC Horse Show and various equestrian events are held every year to adjudge the best rider among the boy and girl cadets of the Remount and Veterinary Units (R&V). The best rider competition at the All India level was introduced in the year 1967. The basic aim of the competition is to promote a sense of participation, equestrian skills and mastery in horsemanship.

    Minister of External Affairs Shri Jaswant Singh presided over the concluding function and gave away the trophies and prizes to the winner.
