'39' ADDITIONAL RICE ALLOCATION TO KBK DISTRICTS Government of Orissa has been allotted an additional quantity of 18,550 tonnes of rice per month each for January, February and March 2002. This quantity of rice is for distribution among all the 13.93 lakh families of KBK districts at BPL rate. These families will be given foodgrains @ 25 kg. per family per month.Under TPDS allocation is already being made at BPL rate to 6.51 lakh families in KBK districts @ 25 kg. per family per month. In addition identified families will be given foodgrains at Rs. 3 per kg. rice and Rs. 2 per kg. wheat under Antyodaya Anna Yojana. The additional quantity of rice allotted will be valid for lifting upto March 31, 2002 and the payment of the cost of foodgrains allotted will be required to be made to FCI latest by March 25.
