        Whereas by Notification of the Government of India No. K.11017/16/2001-US.II dated 9^th January, 2002, the President has been pleased to transfer Shri Justice W.A. Shishak, Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court, as the Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Fakhruddin, Judge of the Chhattisgarh High Court, to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of that High Court with effect from the date Shri Justice W.A. Shishak hands over charge of the office of the Chief Justice of the Chhattisgarh High Court to take over as the Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court.
