    National Aluminium company Limited (NALCO) exceeded targets for the month of December 2001 in respect production, export, turnover and also export earnings.

    Production of Bauxite was 338,010 MT against the target of 3,10,000 MT, calcined Alumina 90,000 MT against the target of 89, 000 MT & Aluminium Cast Metal was 19,775 MT against the target of 19,550 MT. The power generation during the month was 377.55 million units whereas the target for the month was 348 MU.

    Alumina Export was 88, 326 MT against the target of 50,000 MT & Aluminium export was 11480 MT against the target of 11430 MT. Domestic Metal sale was 8514 MT against the target of 8150 MT and total metal sale including transfer to project was 19,994 MT whereas the target was 19,590 MT.

    Gross sales turnover during the month was of Rupees 221.24 crore against the target of 198.89 crore and export earnings were 136.72 crore crossing the target of Rs.120.78 crore by Rs. 15.94 crore.
