SHRI BAALU CONDOLES THE DEATH OF NOTED ENVIRONMENTALIST ANIL AGGARWAL

    The Minister for Environment and Forests, Shri T.R. Baalu has expressed profound grief and shock on the sad demise of noted environmentalist and social activist, Shri Anil Aggarwal. In his condolence message, Shri Baalu recalled the outstanding contribution made by Shri Aggarwal in carving out the direction of policies on many an issue concerning environment. The Minister stated that Shri Aggarwal was an environmentalist to the core and advocated his environmental concerns strongly. The "Down to Earth" magazine, conceived and edited by Shri Aggarwal, has created a niche in terms of quality for stimulating awareness amongst the people about environmental concerns and sharpening the focus on the approach to very intricate environmental problems. The environment world would definitely miss him and the void created by his death will be very difficult to fill, said Shri Baalu.
